Geelong Voice Therapy is owned and operated by James Rolton (a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist). James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance, a Bachelor of Health Science and a Masters of Speech Pathology.
James studied theatre and graduated from the Ballarat Arts Academy in 2004. During his studies in Ballarat he performed in numerous shows along with studying professional acting and theatrical voice production.
In 2006 James moved to Japan to teach English. While in Japan James put his years of theatrical voice training to use in helping his clients with accent modification. With a passion for voice therapy James returned to Australia and enrolled in La Trobe University’s Speech Pathology course.
Whilst at La Trobe University James undertook training in both paediatric and adult Speech Pathology, with placements at various acute/sub-acute hospital wards and primary schools across Melbourne and finally at the La Trobe (Transgender) Communication Clinic.
James has been delighted to call Geelong home since 2014 and Geelong Voice Therapy opened it’s doors in March of 2015.
